Based in the San Francisco Bay area, Studiopatro believes in making useful things such as aprons, tea towels and market bags - which they make rather beautifully. Owner Christina Weber, who also works as an art director, started out as a graphic designer and has been putting ink-on-paper for many years. ‘I decided that for me, ink-on-cloth offers more exciting opportunities and so decided to set up Studiopatro.’ The printed collection is simplistic and elegant with text, leaf, stripe or spot prints, and water-based inks are used, as part of their commitment to a sustainably sourced and produced range. They ship worldwide and the collection is available to buy online. We think the master of useful and beautiful items only for the home, William Morris, would approve.
