When your first collection is bought by the cookware buyer of John Lewis asking for exclusivity, you know you have produced something rather special. Provenance designs high-quality homeware products from recycled, reclaimed and renewable materials using FSC certified end-grain teak; you will find items such as an antipasti platter with bowls, spice jars, chopping blocks, storage canisters, trivet, decanter, cheese board and jugs. The packaging (designed by Jog Design) is eye-catching in its simplicity and it also sells the story of the materials as much as the product with ‘this is now’ and ‘this was’ used on the face and reverse of the packaging, to introduce the story of its provenance. In keeping with the products, the corrugated board for these boxes is 100% recycled, and is cleverly left unbranded (with printed sleeve covers) to encourage reuse or recycling. Their next collection promises to be even better….watch this space! Top right: Medium chopping board £45, Bottom: Storage jars, small £14, medium £16, large £18. See the full range to buy online here.
